What is your Weight Watcher?

I thought it would be fun to show you a picture of my little "Weight Watcher". I took up cycling a little more seriously this year because I am turning the big 50 soon and I wanted to prepare for this day and its arrival, you know .....just 10 pounds lighter....so , I started in April and nearly 2,300 miles later, I am still working on my goal BUT...I have not gained more weight. And everyone says muscle weighs more so maybe that's it! But its a fun way to stay healthy and I have a riding friend. She and I ride 3 days a week together. She turned 50 a few weeks ago, now its my turn. Hence....the name, Midlife Cycler.

Aha! I found you! I wasn't able to find a link to your blog at your profile. When you leave a comment or an e-mail, your name is linked to your profile, not your blog. So when you get to the profile it should say somewhere "Website" or the name of your blog, to click on. Am I making sense?

I wonder if you need to go into "Edit User Profile" and check the box that says "Share My Profile".

Anyhoo -- Your bike is awesome! Good for you for making a commitment and sticking with it. I'm facing the big 5-0 next year in April. I would sure like to get there in better shape than I'm in now!

Hi! I found you through Karen's blog. Another Manilow fan!!

Your bike is neat - is it easy to ride? I passed the big 50 years ago (hate to admit that!). And I need to lose a lot more than 10 pounds. In fact, I need to lose about 30 by next April - high school class reunion.

Come visit my blog if you get a chance!

To get your blog address to show on your profile, go to Dashboard. Click on Settings. Choose YES where it asks Add your blog to our listings? Then Save at the bottom of the page.

Then when you comment and someone clicks on your name, your profile will come up and it will list your blog.

That is the fanciest-shmanciest bike I have ever seen. There is a guy who rides a recumbent on the trail I walk. Every. Single. Day.

And ... he's over 50.

I just love Becky! Isn't she great! I'm glad she got you into blogging.
That's the coolest bike I've ever seen. I need one of those!

I like to cycle too, but I haven't been on my bike for 3 months!!! how bad is that? I've walked and swum, but not biked. And I'm over 50. I'll be back to your blog.

I am glad to be able to offer you inspiration. When I first started blogging in January I wondered what on earth I would talk about. It quicky became apparent that there is more to share and talk about than there is time to do it.
You wil be amazed in 6 months time just what you have managed.
It really is nice to begin to get to know you.

That bike is so different to anything I have seen. If yu ever get to the cycling bit in my b log you will see whay we sold ours.

The header looks real French.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. It is pretty cool, how the network weaves you through the paths of other lives and worlds. Welcome to the blog world! I look forward to hearing more from you. I'm curious, what part of the midwest you're from. I grew up in Ohio and biking would be a lovely activity there. Not so much now that we're in Phoenix. It's too hot 6-7 months out of the year and the streets are just too busy for me to venture out here. I'm hoping to start walking more, now that it's cooling down. Looking for that goal of 10,000 steps a day but find that its tough when I sit in front of a computer all day. I'm approaching the big 5-0 as well and just want to have more energy and feel better in my clothes.

BTW, if you like Purpose Driven, you might want to check out TrueFaced. It's an excellent book and small group study.
